NKCES Teacher of Visually Impaired

As a itinerant teacher for students with visual impairments, I travel to the students to provide direct and consultative special education services relating to vision loss.  These services enable the students to learn in a variety of settings.  As a teacher for the Visually Impaired (VI) I participate in student graduation and transition planning, assist students in setting realistic personal and vocational goals, facilitate student successful integration into the community, act as a liaison with other agencies in the vocational assessment process, and facilitate community awareness of the capabilities of VI Students.
