Arts Integration

Through our Grants Consortium, NKCES offers a complete program of professional learning in Arts Integration for K-12 arts educators and teachers of other content areas.

Assistive Technology

NKCES offers assistive technology training, consultation, assistance with implementation, and evaluation services to schools in the Northern Kentucky region.

Autism/Low Incidence

NKCES supports Northern Kentucky school personnel working with students who have moderate to severe disabilities and students who qualify for alternate assessment.


NKCES offers behavior support through professional development training, behavioral observations, and coaching to schools in the Northern Kentucky region.


The CRRSA team is here to collaborate with you as we all respond to challenges and, in turn, reimagine learning environments in our schools!

English Learners

NKCES is dedicated to providing services to English Learners and their teachers in the following districts: Bellevue, Dayton, Fort Thomas, Ludlow, Pendleton, Southgate, and Walton-Verona.

Executive Director's Message

The word I use to describe our work in Northern Kentucky is synergy: two or more things working together to create something that is bigger or greater than the sum of their individual efforts.


The NKCES Grants Consortium develops grant-funded projects to support student achievement in NKY. We expand each district's capacity to fund programming by providing workshops and training events.

High School & Transition

NKCES offers professional development, support, and coaching to teachers and job coaches in Northern Kentucky who are supporting the unique needs of high school students with disabilities.

Kentucky Youth Apprenticeship

We connect local high school students to area employers for hands-on experience, creating a talent pipeline for tomorrow's workforce. 


NKCES is dedicated to sharing current research, evidence-based strategies, and resources that will build the capacity of NKY educators in meeting the literacy needs of our PreK-12th-grade students.


NKCES is dedicated to supporting educators in the region with professional learning opportunities, consulting, and coaching support in math for PreK - 12th grade. 

NKY Institute for Strategic Prevention

Promoting mental health and preventing substance misuse through partnerships and education in NKY schools and communities.


NKCES is dedicated to supporting preschool educators and preschool directors with professional learning opportunities and consultation as it relates to early childhood. 

Special Education

NKCES supports special education educators and administrators by providing professional learning opportunities and consultation to build the capacity of those who serve students with disabilities.
